Violet.

Her middle name is still under discussion, but for the curious, we've decided that Wee Pea's official name will be Violet.

Yes, there will be, but we haven't decided on it yet. We probably won't decide until she's here. But we are very excited about this name, and are fairly committed to it, so we thought it would be fun to share with people. :D

In Chinese painting, the color violet represents the harmony of the universe because it is a combination of red (yang) and blue (yin).

It is said that people with violet auras are forward looking visionaries who may be in occupations such as performance artist (let's hope not!), photographer (yes!), venture capitalist (alright!!), astronaut (ok), futurist (?), or quantum physicist (whew!).

Violet is of Latin origin, and its meaning is "purple". One of the earliest flower names for girls, first used in the 1830s. Shakespeare used the Latin form Viola for the enterprising heroine in "Twelfth Night."
