Visited the doc today. We've progressed! (Yay!) I'm now at 3+ cm and 75% effaced. The doc also "swept" my membranes, a technique which may help speed along the dilation/effacement/gettin'-labor-started process. We shall see. What I can say for sure is that this baby is loooooooooow....it is unbelievably difficult just to walk, let alone stand up, sit down or try to pee.
We just checked the old blog, and found that we were at this very same place exactly 4 days before Wilson was born. Not that y'all should expect her to come on Friday or anything, but hey, anything's possible...

i know the membrane "sweep" is good and all, I just have to not think about the actual technique, because that makes me a tad bit quesy! So excited that you're SOO close and can't wait to hear more news. By the way, thanks for posting on your blog so consistently; I love reading your updates!! -Rachel
Hey there hun! Just checking in to get cought up, was hoping there would be a little Violet, so that I could send her a violet outfit among many other fun clothes I have managed to collect over the past few months. Just a reminder that you and the rest of the gang are always close in my thoughts. Also, love the bright red shirt (accessorized well with black skirt) in your belly pictures, maybe you can keep it around for me to borrow one day when I need it! So many exciting things happening possibly all in the same weekend...not to remind you of things you are missing, but the hotel has free high speed wireless and we are bringing the laptop, so hopefully, you will get the closest to instant gratification I can provide to you from Avon, CT! We will miss you, but hopefully you will have something better to cry about this weekend...those are hints for you little miss violet!
